An authoritative book on the rationale for and mechanism to engage in the membership or subscription-based economies. With examples from a range of industry sectors and companies from startups to the 300-year Swedish tool maker Husqvarna, the book is a richly detailed treatise on this business model. Tzuo makes a strong case for subscription-based models - understandable given that his company, Zuora, is a service provider to this sector and assists thousands of companies around the world in managing billing and customer relationships. The book (see infographic) explains the Zuora PADRE model of how to develop or transition to this business model. This is an enjoyable read and good backdrop to the subscription economy.
