Michael Pollan’s book, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, must surely stand as an important treatise and examination of the food we eat and the system that delivers that food. In this podcast I review the book, highlighting the three food systems that Pollan investigates, showing us that while industrial food production has so much control, there are alternate – albeit not easy, ways to get access to healthy wholesome food. The book is steeped in research and in the lived experience of the author, and we are the better for it, having this almost as a record as to how food has been corrupted through greed, profit and misguided government policy.
