Show Notes

A truly masterful book on entrepreneurship that is timely, expertly written and meticulously researched.  Professor Tom Eisenmann is an undisputed world authority on entrepreneurship, having developed a wide range of programmes at Harvard Business School to support entrepreneurs and early stage start-up businesses.  The book offer a blueprint of success but based on examples of failure; while this may seem like an oxymoron, the research Eisenmann conducted uncovers the granular issues at play in a wider range of start-up businesses that seemed promising at first attracted investment – often huge amounts of it, and yet still failed.  Each book chapter details a case study of a failed business, thus providing not just a principle of failure, but a peak behind the veil of a real business.  Eisenmann also offer strategies to mitigate against failure and ensure a higher likelihood of success.  A compelling read and a necessary guide for every entrepreneur’s library.
